The TV Connector is a simple plug and play interface to TV’s and other audio sources, supporting the direct connectivity of Phonak Audéo Marvel and Audéo B-Direct hearing aids. It is designed to simplify the setup and usage. It’s just like using wireless headphones. With AirStream™ technology it delivers top rated sound quality streaming from any TV and stereo system¹. The TV Connector can simultaneously stream audio signals up to 15 meters to an unlimited amount of connected hearing aids.

  • If your device does not appear in this list, reseat the cable connected to your computer or try a different port. If your audio device shows up as an Unknown device or has a yellow caution symbol, you will need to uninstall the device and then reinstall the latest driver (see Driver Reinstall below).
  • Select Update Driver. If Windows doesn't find a new driver, you can try looking for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions. Reinstall the device driver. In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager. Right-click (or press and hold) the name of the device, and select Uninstall.

  • In a driver pair, one driver handles general tasks that are common to a whole collection of devices, while the other driver handles tasks that are specific to an individual device. The drivers that handle device-specific tasks go by a variety of names, including miniport driver, miniclass driver, and minidriver.

The serial port ttySx (x=0,1,2, etc.) is major number 4. You can see this (and the minor numbers too) by typing: 'ls -l ttyS.' in the /dev directory. To find the device names for various devices, see the 'devices' file in the kernel documentation. There formerly was a 'cua' name for each serial port and it behaved just a little differently.
